As Technology Director for Women in Science, I supported the organization’s digital presence by maintaining website content, improving usability, organizing technical updates, and helping create a more accessible online experience for students and members.

This role focused on supporting a student organization through website management, digital content updates, UI/UX improvements, and technical organization. The experience combined technical work with communication and organization. How I supported the organization online
A large part of the role was making sure the website stayed useful and reliable for members. This included updating text, improving page structure, checking that information was presented clearly, and making sure the website continued to support the organization’s events and outreach.
I approached the website as both a technical platform and a communication tool. The goal was not only to make edits, but to make the site easier for students to understand and interact with. This helped me practice balancing design, usability, content accuracy, and technical maintenance.
UI/UX + Accessibility
Improving the user experience
I worked on improving how information was displayed so users could scan pages more easily. This included thinking about headings, spacing, layout consistency, content hierarchy, and how students would move through the site to find what they needed.
